Shed the Pounds by Eating These Incredible Fat Burning Foods

It seems everyone in America today is trying to melt off those extra pounds, and this comes as no surprise: 80% of Americans are now considered overweight! Those are astonishing numbers, and there's definitely a growing need for us all to live healthier lifestyles. Exercising and eating right are the two best ways to lose weight and keep it off, and while we're often taught that eating too much is the "enemy", there are actually foods you can eat that will help you lose weight instead of gaining it. After doing some very interesting research, I have put together a small list of foods that should be incorporated into any diet of a person trying to lose weight.
1. Grapefruits are well known for their high vitamin C content and their wonderfully tart taste, but most people aren't aware that eating them is a great way to help your body burn fat. Pectin is a fiber that helps to break down the fat in fat cells, and grapefruits are absolutely loaded with it. - And because fiber is perfect for helping you to feel full longer, its great for reducing your appetite as well. Grapefruits have also been shown to help in reducing cholesterol, so your heart will thank you!
2. Low-fat dairy products such as milk, cheese and yogurt have been reported to help aid in weight loss. The calcium in these dairy foods helps your body fight fat by increasing the breakdown of fat in fat cells. Research has shown that diets rich in dairy are nearly twice as effective for losing weight as those that are dairy-poor. So grab a cup of low-fat yogurt and enjoy!
3. Your metabolism is your body's key weapon in burning calories efficiently, so it's pretty obvious that you want it to be as strong and fast as possible. Cayenne pepper, while not a permanent solution, is perfect for a temporary metabolism boost. - So by increasing your intake of spicy foods, you'll be jump-starting your metabolism a bit more, which never hurts when you're trying to lose weight! Spicy foods also tend to make you feel fuller, which will help cut your appetite.
4. Green tea is packed with all sorts of great health benefits, so even if it didn't help at all with weight loss, it'd still be a highly recommended drink. Of course, fortunately, it does help with weight loss, and very well! It works by boosting your metabolism, which of course means your body is going to store less fat and burn it off as energy. Some studies have shown that green tea could also be a possible glucose regulator, which means that it could slow the increase in blood sugar after meals.
5. While it may not sound like the tastiest of weight loss tips, a popular "folk remedy" is to drink two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar mixed with water before two meals each day. - And this folk remedy isn't without backing or merit. Experiments performed observed the results of those drinking the vinegar, and weight loss was definite, though gradual. If the taste of the vinegar is difficult to get around, you can try mixing it with vegetable or fruit juice.
Whether you're looking to lose 10 pounds or 100, losing weight can be a challenging and rather rough goal. By eating foods that help your body to burn fat, in addition to exercising and a healthy diet, you can help take away some of the seemingly impossible obstacles. And remember, you don't have to lose half your body weight to be healthy, any weight loss is admirable and a journey that should always be celebrated
